You’re probably here because, like us, you are already part of the BoardGameScene in our amazing city.
We’ve been promoting boardgames in different ways in Birmingham for years and know that there is a vibrant community that deserves to be shouted about.
We hope this new website can do that, but… we’re not just doing it for us, so we’d love your input.

THE STAGE IS SET….
Andy Hopwood and Will ‘the Wizard’ Brasher share a passion - they believe that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful world of boardgames, and by “boardgaming” we mean tabletop games in all their forms.
For some years people have benefitted from the Boardgames in Birmingham list on Andy’s website. It already features regular events and places that support the hobby but we think it can do more, so we decided to make a whole new website.
Our vision for BoardGameScene:
Events - NOW LIVE Hundreds of people in Birmingham meet up at regular events, weekly and monthly. We will be comprehensively listing these so you don’t miss a thing.
Places - NOW LIVE Without our local cafes and shops our community would not be what it is, so we want to make sure you know where to find them and what they offer.
People - Highlighting the humans who contribute to the boardgame scene - online content creators, designers, publishers, gurus and those we might have missed!
Games - There are games about Birmingham and games created by people who live locally. We want to celebrate both of these.
And Finally … Birmingham - We know it’s already the best place in the world for games but we think some people might have missed this fact - so we want to make sure everybody knows it.
